About Japan

Is 10–14 days enough for Japan’s Golden Route?
Yes. For a first trip, 10–14 days is ideal for exploring Tokyo, Mt. Fuji or Hakone, Kyoto, and Osaka. Focus on these highlights rather than adding distant regions like Hokkaido or Kyushu, so you spend less time on trains and more time enjoying Japan.
Are hotel rooms in Japan too small for families or travelers with large suitcases?
Many standard business hotels have limited space. For more room, consider apartment-style hotels like MIMARU or a traditional ryokan with tatami rooms. We select 4-star or higher hotels for a more comfortable stay, with room options suited to your family size and needs.
Is the JR Pass worth buying?
For most travelers, individual Shinkansen tickets and an IC card like Suica or ICOCA are cheaper. The JR Pass may be worth it if you take several long-distance train trips within 7 days, such as Tokyo–Kyoto–Hiroshima–Tokyo.
